Microsoft and its hardware partners have introduced Copilot+ PCs, which are touted as the fastest and most advanced AI-driven Windows computers to date. These machines boast extended battery life and provide access to cutting-edge AI technologies. A new system architecture has been implemented, coupling a CPU, GPU, and a high-performance Neural Processing Unit (NPU), resulting in unprecedented performance levels compared to Apple’s MacBook Air 15”.

The AI workloads on Copilot+ PCs are claimed to be up to 20 times more powerful and 100 times more efficient while offering industry-leading AI acceleration. Additionally, users can enjoy up to 22 hours of local video playback or 15 hours of web browsing on a single charge. Microsoft has focused on improving app implementation on its speedy chipset, expanding its native Arm64 experiences and increasing app efficiency.

Security is a key feature of the Copilot+ line, with each PC equipped with the Microsoft Pluton Security processor and additional new security features, updates, and default settings for Windows 11. This is complemented by enhanced user privacy controls, enabling users to better manage their data. AI capabilities are highlighted through tools such as ‘Recall,’ which organizes information based on individual experiences and associations, and ‘Cocreator,’ which enables users to create and refine images using text prompts and ink strokes.

Pre-orders for Copilot+ PCs are available starting today, and the machines will be available from June 18, with prices starting at $999.
