Passengers at the airport on Tuesday night reported being stranded on planes and left without their luggage when they finally arrived home. One passenger shared that their plane was stuck on the runway for over an hour after landing, with the pilot instructing passengers to keep their seatbelts on due to potential sudden movement.

This caused difficulty for many passengers who needed to use the restroom, particularly when the pilot unexpectedly moved the plane while some were still inside. The passenger also noted the distress of other travelers who were waiting for their checked baggage, and described the scene in the baggage area at the airport as chaotic, with long queues and disorganization.

In addition to the passenger’s account, videos posted on social media depicted the disorder in the baggage area at the airport, providing visual evidence of the chaotic situation. Another passenger from Copenhagen echoed the sentiment, highlighting the chaotic scenes in the T5 baggage area, which further emphasized the disarray that the travelers experienced.

Further reports from other passengers revealed frustrating experiences with the baggage retrieval process. One passenger shared a distressing message sent to travelers at Heathrow, which explained that due to a technical issue with the baggage allocation system, the airline could not guarantee that the passengers’ bags had traveled with them.

This left many passengers unsure of the whereabouts of their luggage, causing inconvenience and frustration. Another message shared by a customer portrayed the return from Cyprus as a complete disaster, advising passengers to confirm with the airline before heading to the airport.

Acknowledging the issue, the airline also issued messages advising passengers to contact them for assistance and reassurance that additional measures had been put in place to resolve the matter and return the bags to the customers promptly. Despite this, the incident had clearly caused significant disruption and inconvenience for the affected passengers.
