The tiled mobile operating system had its strengths but ultimately could not compete with iOS and Android. Conversely, Windows 10 found success in the realm of PCs and tablets, leading to Microsoft’s decision to abandon its mobile ambitions.

The new creation bears resemblance to modern smartphone interfaces, complete with Start and Copilot buttons, as well as Microsoft Edge integration. It also allows for app pinning and easy browsing, incorporating other familiar Windows features.
