Unfortunately, this has not always been the case. The latest beta build of Windows 11 now offers a new option to view installed shortcuts organized by category. This feature groups together shortcuts for similar or related apps, such as music apps and entertainment apps.

Microsoft has not provided a specific timeline for when this Start menu change will be available to all users, but it is presumed that it will be included in the Windows 11 24H2 update later this year.
