The new midnight color option has been introduced to replace the almost identical Space Gray variant. This color is uniquely made from 100 percent recycled mesh fabric.

It joins the existing palette, which includes yellow, orange, blue, and white. The HomePod mini in midnight features an acoustically transparent mesh exterior and a backlit touch surface.

It can function as a single speaker, in a stereo pair, or as part of a multiroom audio setup. When used with Apple TV 4K, it can enhance audio for home theater setups.

Equipped with Siri, the HomePod mini has a wide range of capabilities beyond just playing music. It can help with daily tasks, control smart home devices, and respond to environmental sensors like smoke or carbon monoxide alarms.

It also has features such as checking the temperature and humidity in a room, as well as using the Intercom for household announcements. The HomePod mini will be available in Apple Store locations in the U.S., Canada, mainland China, Singapore, and 28 other countries and regions starting from July 17.
